LAWTON, Okla. — An Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation agent says the search for a missing 7-year-old girl and her suspected kidnapper is unlike any he's ever known.

Authorities are searching for 7-year-old Aja Johnson and 46-year-old Lester Hobbs.

"I've been involved in numerous manhunts, but I've never been in one like this," Richard Goss said of the disappearance of the two.

Goss, the OSBI's agent in charge of the Southwest Regional Office, said that in 34 years of law enforcement he's never seen two people and, more pointedly, a car disappear so completely.

Authorities have searched for Hobbs, the girl and the 1992 Toyota Paseo he is believed to be driving since the Jan. 24 discovery of Tonya Hobbs' body inside an RV in Geronimo.

"It's puzzling," Goss said. "The auto would be the elephant, and the people the mouse. But we haven't received any legit sightings of the auto."

An Amber Alert continues for Johnson.

Hobbs was charged Jan. 26 in the Comanche County District Court with first-degree murder in the death of Tonya Hobbs, 37, and kidnapping of Johnson.

A house-by-house search was conducted last week through Geronimo but no new leads were found. Investigators have now begun reevaluating existing evidence and information and are looking at all possibilities including the possibility of an accident while fleeing Geronimo, Goss said.

Aja Johnson suffers from bi-polar disorder, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder and sleeping issues that require medication. The last time she's known to have had her medication is Jan. 22.

The week past was a busy one for makers of software geared toward post-sales service and customer management.

V-Soft, Inc., a San Jose, CA Oracle reseller and a software maker in its own right, announced the release of VPRMS, software to help manufacturers and distributors automate the process of product recalls.

Primarily aimed at companies in industries such as food & beverage, pharmaceuticals, chemicals, medical devices, and consumer goods, VPRMS is deployed via a SaaS model and features the ability to import consignee/customer, contact, and product data from various systems of record. Standard reports cover recall activities, returned inventory, replacement inventory requirements, and estimated accounts receivable credits.

V-Soft is a reseller of Oracle's CRM On Demand and Oracle Agile PLM, and also provides outsourced product engineering services in the areas of embedded systems, mobile platforms, and mobile applications.

Another maker of software to manage the post-sale customer experience recently announced its own news. U.K.-based 4CS, which makes warranty and service lifecycle management software, revealed that it will provide RV maker Auto-Sleepers with 4CS' iWarranty OnDemand software to monitor and control the manufacturer's warranty process.

"We needed to automate our warranty process and wanted an intuitive, easy-to-use solution to control and recover costs," said Alan Curry, Auto-Sleepers' customer service manager, in a statement. "iWarranty comes out of the box and is ready to work."

4CS said its software will help the vehicle maker automate manual warranty processes, optimize parts return and supplier recovery, and deliver analytics within the iWarranty system to replace Excel-based reporting.
